Formed in 2020 in Boulder, Colorado, JAWA is a 3 piece instrumental powerhouse blending an eclectic mix of styles with improvisation and deep sonic exploration. JAWA has been storming stages around the front range delivering their unique style within the jam band framework for two years. Stylistically sometimes referred to as “wook metal” “prog pop” and “post-jamband” there’s a bit of something for everyone when JAWA takes the stage.

Polysanto

Born in the Mile High City, Polysanto is a 5 piece jam band blending various genres and styles into their own form of rock and roll. Although the average age in the band is 25, the collective has a combined 60 plus years of making music between them all. Individual members of the band have been able to play at venues in and around Denver including Lost Lake, Larimer Lounge, Your Mom’s House, Herman’s Hideaway, Be On Key, Owsley’s, So Many Roads, Globe Hall, Bohemian Biergarten, and the Fox Theatre. Prominent influences for the band include Led Zeppelin, Phish, Tame Impala, Lotus, Khruangbin, the Grateful Dead, moe., Umphrey’s McGee, and Mac Miller.

Doom Parade

After relocating to Denver from his home of New Orleans, Scott Baker (guitars) sought out to start a band that would remind him of the city, parades, and the improvisational funk and jazz bands he grew up listening to. Upon meeting Cody Taffet, a drummer from Miami with a deep love for the pocket, the project took on a life of its own. Cody’s uplifting rhythms blended with Scott’s inspired grooves and they began to achieve a sound they could call their own. There was a missing element though, BASS!!!, until they stumbled upon their third musketeer in Ryan Davis, a “native” 😉 who picked up their style in no time and gravitated in with his fancy grooves and attention to harmony. Within a few months , they had 10 songs written and 5 songs recorded; set to be released in 2023 as mostly instrumentals.

Like a second line during the apocalypse, Doom Parade’s music is shameless, unpredictable, and decadent. Bouncing bass lines, shredding guitars, and funk drums will have you dancing along in no time. Let yourself fall into the deep abyss of groove; the melting pot of sound that is Doom Parade.
